What is a Strengthen + Restore Series?
Hello, everyone! It’s Teryn here on the blog—I know it’s been a while. I was hoping to let you know about some exciting things we’ll be doing at the studio in the fall! For this post, I wanted to let you know that I'm starting a monthly series for my Tuesday night Strengthen + Restore class!
So what does that mean?
In short—it means that we will be exploring a certain pose (or related poses) throughout the month on Tuesday nights for 4-week stretches. This way, you can really see your own progress as you come to class, and I can deepen my teaching each week so that you can continue to refine your form and practice.
Getting to work on a certain sequence and set of poses each week will help you start learning your body more deeply, strengthen you muscles in specific ways, and help you monitor the progress you’re making. These will be great series to start out with if you’re new, as I will be teaching to a variety of levels.
In addition to the physical work you’ll be doing, we’re also going to explore a theme each month that will be something for you to mentally chew on and digest as the month progresses. We will explore a concept all month so that it can really be something we frame our minds around both in and outside of class.
Also, it’s important to note that you don’t have to go to every single class if you don’t want to! Always come whenever you can come.
We'll be doing new themes for poses/mental work each month in September, October, and November.
Strengthen + Restore Monthly Class Series
September: Using Dancer Variations for Outer & Inner Strength & Rootedness
We will be learning variations of Dancer Pose all month. Dancer Pose (and its variations) focuses on really strengthening the legs and core, improving balance, and cultivating more foundational inner strength inside ourselves. Classes in this series are on Sep 4th, 11th, 18th, and 25th at 7:45pm.
October: Using Crow Variations for Inner Self-Empowerment
We will be focusing on strengthening arms and our core as we explore arm balances that are accessible yet challenging (Crow Poses). We will also explore the concept of self-empowerment and living from a place of confidence. Classes in this series are on Oct 2nd, 9th, 16th, and 23th at 7:45pm.
November: Using Hip Openers to Navigate Our Deepest Desires & Dreams
We will be learning variations of hip openers that will help release stress and strengthen the hips. We will also explore our deepest desires and dreams through inner work. Classes in this series are on Nov 6nd, 13th, 20th, and 27th at 7:45pm.
I hope to see some of you there!
