Take Care and Find More Nourishment and Peace
When anxiety and fear weigh heavy in the air, may we be people of Peace.
I've been quiet over the last few weeks (maybe months), taking a step away from much- for my own health and wellbeing. As a foster family, our lives often hang in the balance. Certainty and planning are not in our regular vocabulary and I've gotten used to it, but I've also learned from it. And when our third foster baby arrived in late January with one day's notice, I knew I needed some time to adjust and learn how to be a mother to three under 18 months. (It is crazy, by the way!)
We've been learning how to survive. But I've also been curious about how to flourish in this season. I keep coming back to the word NOURISH.
I know that in order to flourish, we need to be continually nourished.
I can't help but think that our personal journey of fostering has prepared us for uncertainty on a bigger scale. I've learned to hold on to peace in small ways and big ways and I'm hoping to offer that to you, too.
In times like these with our current unsteady global environment, I think it's vital.
For me, for you, for the world.
We NEED people who are grounded in truth and love.
We NEED pursuers of Peace.
We NEED to practice taking care of ourselves so we can take care of those who need our help.
Whether it be breath + movement or contemplation + prayer, I want to get back into a daily routine of taking time to be centered with God and myself. I want to be more nourished so I can do more than just survive. So that I can be a peace-maker and a light-bearer. I want that for you, too.
Let's cultivate more Peace.
